WEIGH IN TIME AGAIN

Well, I didn't do so good this week, but I am thankful for the 1.8 pounds I did lose. We can't win them all, right? To beat it all I did the same thing that I did the week before.





I want to thank all you girls for the sweet notes and the $$$$$$.



It was really fun to go to the mail box and get all this mail that wasn't bills or junk mail.



I got all six yesterday.

Need Your Opinion

It's hard to believe I am posting two days in a row.
About six years ago I decided that I was going to make a quilt.

Well, I got started in a big way, I went and bought my fabric, cut my pieces, sewed my pieces, put it together and started to quilt.

I had never quilted in my life but I thought I could do it. First of all I think my batting was too thick and it was too hard to make little stitches, so I quilted a little bit and quit.

What I would like to know is, would it be better to hand quilt it with big stitches, or to have it machine quilted?
If I was to have it machine quilted I would have to take out what I already did, which is not very much.
As you can see it is the Rail Fence.









This is the part of what I quilted, probably cant see it that well.

VINTAGE THURSDAY

I have something vintage to show on this Thursday. This is a bowl and Strawberry that belonged to my grandmother. I really don't know much about old glassware, so maybe someone can tell me something about the bowl, it has three leggs and it is pink glass. I don't know how old it is but my grandma died in 1947.


















If anyone can tell me anything about my bowl I would appreciate it.

WEIGHT LOSS

Well here it is, I lost a total of 5.8 pounds, I didn't too well after the three day diet but I am happy with what I lost. Losing is not the hardest part, the hardest part is keeping it off. After I did the Clevland Clinic Diet for three days I did WW points.

WEIGH IN

I know it's not weigh in time but I wanted to share this.
I started a 3 day diet on Tuesday and I wanted to tell
all how much I lost, and to share the diet with you. I lost
5.2 pounds . I did this diet a few months ago and lost
7 pounds. I just hope I dong gain it back before Tuesday LOL
I do need to tell you I didn't follow it exactly. I didn't eat the
broccoli or cauliflower, not because I didn't like it, I just didn't
want it. I ate a whole banana instead of half (it was small)
I forgot to eat my ice cream the first day so I ate a cup the
second day, I really can't imagine me forgetting to eat ice cream,
but I did.

CLEVLAND CLINIC DIET

To Lose 10 lbs. in 3 days. IT MUST BE FOLLOWED

EXACTLY

DAY 1
Breakfast

1/2 grapefruit
1 slice dry toast
2 Tablespoons peanut butter

LUNCH
2/3 cup dry tuna packed in water
5 saltine crackers
1 slice dry toast

DINNER
2 slices meat (3 oz. any type)
1 cup green beans
1 cup red beets
1 small apple
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

DAY 2
BREAKFAST
1 egg
1 slice dry toast
1/2 banana

LUNCH
1 cup cottage cheese
5 saltine crackers

DINNER
2 hot dogs
1 cup broccoli
1/2 cup carrots
1 banana
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

DAY 3
BREAKFAST
5 saltine crackers
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 banana
1 small apple

LUNCH
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice dry toast

DINNER
1 cup dry tuna
1cup red beets
1 cup cauliflower
1/2 cantaloupe OR
1 cup mixed fruit
1/ 2 cup vanilla ice cream

DIET WORKS ON A CHEMICAL BREAKDOWN
AND IS PROVEN. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE ANY
OF THE ABOVE FOODS. SALT AND PEPPER
MAY BE ADDED BUT NO OTHER SPICES OR
SEASONINGS. THIS DIET IS TO BE USED
ONLY 3 DAYS AT A TIME. IN 3 DAYS YOU WILL
LOSE 10 POUNDS. AFTER 3 DAYS OF DIETING,
RESUME NORMAL EATING, BUT DON'T OVERDO IT
AFTER 4 DAYS OF NORMAL EATING, START THE
DIET AGAIN. YOU CAN LOSE UP TO 40 POUNDS
A MONTH IF YOU STICK TO THE DIET. IT IS A SAFE
DIET. DON'T PICK BETWEEN MEALS. DRINK BLACK
COFFEE. GOOD LUCK.

LETS EAT (IF YOU ARE NOT ON A DIET)






Well, I asked Janet to make some bean soup and bring me some, but I still havent seen her, so I had to make something myself.
I know a lot of you are dieting, believe me I am the one that should be on a diet, more than anyone.
VERY HUNGRY
So I made
LAZY STUFFED CABBAGE CASSAROLE
2 lb. ground beef

1 C. minute rice (uncooked)

1 pkg. onion soup mix

2 (8oz) cans tomato sauce

1 tomato sauce can water

1 can stewed tomatoes

2 lb. cabbage (coarsly chopped)

Brown ground beef & drain, mix rice & soup mix in ground beef. Mix all together and pour in 9x13 pan, cover with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350









Well that didn't satisfy me so I made


JALAPENO CORNBREAD MUFFINS
3 C. selfrising corn meal
1/2 C. oil
3 eggs (beaten)
1 onion (grated)
1 C. cream corn
1/2 C. Jalapeno peppers (chopped)
1 1/2 C. grated cheese
1/2 C. chopped pimentos
1/2 t. garlic powder
Enough buttermilk to mix. called for 2 1/2 cups but I didn't measure. I think that is too much.
Mix all ingredients and bake at 400 for 35 to 40 Minutes.
